About Me

Thomas started on alto saxophone when he was 11 and decided to study the saxophone in college at Boise State University. He studied classical alto saxophone with Ritchard Maynard and Bill Rankin at BSU and became more interested in improvisation and jazz studies. During this time in Idaho he was playing in various local bar bands. One of which was known as "The Rhythm Mob" with Jake Stigers and eventually moved to New York City in 1995 to study improv and saxophone draw further inspiration from the universe. Thomas has shared the stage with many established artists and bands in venues around New York City and the world. Notable bands he performed with regularly are the local cult comedy band, The Niagaras, the New York City funk band "Milo Z" and singer/songwriter Gavin Degraw.

"I WRITE A GREAT DEAL OF ELECTRONIC BASED RHYTHMS AND BEATS, THEN I PLAY SAX OVER IT. IT'S VERY FUNKY AND VERY TRIPPY ALL AT ONCE.
MY MUSIC IS A COMBINATION OF FUNK, ELECTRONICA, JAZZ & TRIP-HOP ALL BOILED TOGETHER.

I PERFORM AT MANY CHARITY EVENTS EVERY YEAR. SOME OF THE CHARITIES I'VE PERFORMED FOR ARE THE OVARIAN CANCER RESEARCH FUND, THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION, BEST BUDDIES, CHANGE FOR KIDS, CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTER FOR MANHATTAN, SAFE HORIZON AND MANY MORE.

ONE OF MY MAIN BANDS RIGHT NOW IS THE TELEVISIONARIES.
I THOUGHT OF IT ONE DAY WHILE I WAS A THE BITTER END. I CAME UP WITH THE NAME & CALLED ALL THE GUYS AND THEY WERE ALL REALLY EXCITED TO BE IN A BAND THAT DOES TV SHOW THEME SONG INTERPRETIVE COVERS INCORPORATING DIFFERENT TIME FEELS AND GENRES. WE ARE VERY WELL RECEIVED AND PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS IMPRESSIVELY SURPRISED BY THE SONGS THAT WE PLAY AND THE STYLE THAT WE PLAY THEM IN.
WE GO FROM SKA TO PUNK ROCK TO FUNK TO HIP-HOP(RAP) AND JAZZ. THEME SONGS ARE SO SHORT HALF THE FUN IS TRYING TO ARRANGE THEM IN A WAY THAT IS ENTERTAINING MUSICALLY AND STILL KEEP THE VIBE OF THE ORIGINAL MUSIC. WE ARE TELEVICIOUS!!!!!!
